Las Vegas DUI Defense Attorney

Las Vegas DUI School Lawyer

If you are convicted for DUI for the first time, the judge will mandate that you attend an approved Nevada DUI school. These schools are designed to help offenders become aware of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. If you have questions about your requirements for DUI school, please do not hesitate to contact the Las Vegas DUI lawyer today.

In most cases, convicted offenders are required to complete eight hours of DUI school, though sometimes sixteen or twenty-four hour courses are ordered as well. In the state of Nevada, it is lawful to attend the course either online, by mail correspondence, or in an actual classroom. Once you plead guilty and/or are convicted of a DUI in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas DUI lawyer can assist you in finding the right DUI school for you, though the court clerk is supposed to give you information about this as well.

There is a final exam at the end of the DUI school, which you must pass in order to fulfill the requirement. If you do not pass the first time, you will have to take the test again until you do.

Our Las Vegas DUI Attorney Can Help

If this is your second DUI, you will most likely not be sentenced to DUI school, but rather be required to attend a DUI Court alcohol and drug program which is a type of rehabilitative program.

Your license will remain suspended or restricted until you finish your mandated education program. Any questions regarding these programs or license restrictions can be directed to the Las Vegas DUI lawyer.
